Comparison Between The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 and Microsoft Surface Pro 7

Samsung launched its Galaxy Tab S7 in August 2020, and Microsoft launched the Surface Pro 7 in January 2021. Both tablets are one of the best of that period and have some fascinating features. The basic difference between both the devices is that the Galaxy Tab S7 works on the Android OS, whereas the Surface Pro 7 works on Windows OS.

Both devices are the best in the range of tablets available in the market. While they have some similarities, some features can be the distinguishing factors between them.

Operating System
The Galaxy Tab S7 works on the Android OS, whereas the Surface Pro 7 works on the Windows OS. Both devices are good in their segments, but differences in their operating systems may bring some performance and compatibility-related changes.

The Galaxy Tab S7 has an excellent Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus Mobile Platform, making it perfect for your daily work. Different versions have different clock speeds. A Quad-core 10th generation Intel Core i5 or i7 processor can be added to the Surface Pro 7’s standard Dual-core 10th generation Intel Core i3 processor.

Both devices include capacitive touchscreens, with the Surface Pro 7 revolving around a 12.3-inch screen that supports precise input from the Surface Pen stylus. This PixelSense display offers a 2736 x 1824 (257 PPI) resolution, a 3: 2 aspect ratio, and a 10-point multi-touch capability that makes it perfect for practically every work. With an LTPS LCD touchscreen, 2560 x 1600 resolution, 500 nits of brightness (276 PPI), DCI-P3 color gamut, and low blue light certification, the Galaxy Tab S7 also boasts an outstanding display. It has a color screen and a fluid 120Hz refresh rate.

Design and Dimensions
The Surface Pro 7 (weighing 790 g) weighs slightly more than the Galaxy Tab S7 (weighing 498g). The Surface Pro 7 is extremely slim, measuring only 0.33 inches, while the Galaxy Tab S7 is even more so, measuring just 0.24 inches. Dimensions of the Galaxy Tab S7 are 253.8 x 165.3 x 6.3 mm, whereas the Surface Pro 7 is 292 mm × 201 mm × 8.5 mm.

The Galaxy Tab S7 supports AKG and Dolby Atmos quad speakers for a richer overall audio experience. Although the 1.6W stereo speakers included with the Surface Pro 7 aren’t particularly spectacular, the device does have dual far-field studio microphones.

Both devices have different features and possess different usage. The major difference between them is their operating systems, as the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 works on Android OS and the Microsoft Surface Pro 7 works on Windows OS. Users get a good camera in the Galaxy Tab S7, which supports 4K recording from the rear, but this device lacks good battery backup because of its higher screen refresh rate. The Microsoft Surface Pro 7 has an amazing processor, making it an excellent option, but it lacks a good camera system.
