“The Great American Dream Vote” will introduce a group of contestants from across America, all of whom will reveal a lifelong dream to the studio audience and explain why they think it deserves to be fulfilled. Anything is possible. You want to make magic and miracles materialize in your life? Just tap into your fantasies - from having your own amusement park, to totally transforming your appearance, to surprising your spouse with their dream of a lifetime - and then convince America to vote for you.
As the contestants square off, the studio audience will cast votes, eliminating entrants over several rounds. By the end of each show, only two finalists will remain. Then viewers at home will have the opportunity to vote on which of the finalists most deserves to have his or her dream realized, and the results will be disclosed at the opening of the following week’s episode.
The show is hosted by pop icon Donny Osmond, whose multi-faceted 43-year career has evolved from pre-teen recording idol with The Osmonds into such varied roles as talk show, variety show and game show host, the toast of Broadway in “Beauty and the Beast,” bestselling author, and solo recording star with 33 gold and platinum records to his credit.
Mike Fleiss is executive producer of “The Great American Dream Vote,” with Lisa Levenson. Fleiss is the founder of Next Entertainment, and both he and Levenson are also executive producers on the highly successful “Bachelor” series on ABC. David Bohnert is co-executive producer. “The Great American Dream Vote” is a production of Next Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Television.
